GRA© Grading Course – How It Works
An Apprentice GRA© Grader needs to accurately grade 100 gemstones in a row and pass the Encapsulation & Security course to become a Licenced GRA© Gemologist. Once you are a Licenced GRA© Gemologist you can encapsulate SiC diamonds, and add them to the Gemstone Registration Authority – GRA© system.
Gemstones are sent to the Apprentice to grade and return to the GRA©. The accuracy of the work is checked, and if it’s perfect 100 times in a row you can take the Encapsulation and Security course and become a Licenced GRA© Gemologist.
GRA© Grading Course 8H8A: $5,000
Once enrolled you will receive 5 gemstones at a time to be graded. A maximum of 5 has been set due to the high value of the gemstones. If the apprentice does not return the 5 SiC diamonds within 30 days with a grading report, they will be expelled and tuition forfeited to cover some of the costs.
